The Saint John Fisher Men’s Club was chartered in 1992. The Club was established as a Parish Men’s Club devoted to fostering fellowship amongst the men of the Parish, raising funds for the school and school programs, and providing man power for work parties and charity activities of the church and school.

Over the years, the SJF Men’s Club has provided many of the tangible assets of the school; carpets in the upstairs classrooms, white boards for each classroom, funds for the maintenance and improvement of the school and grounds.

Men’s Club members are called to action to help with all aspects of the school’s activities from manning various positions at the Annual Auction and Spaghetti Dinner to providing work parties to paint the lockers or interior walls of the school.

The SJF Men’s Club also puts on several events each year that are designed to help strengthen the sense of community and be seasonal focal points for the Parish and school community.

Every year, the Men’s Club puts on a Halloween Haunted House and Carnival, an Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast, a golf tournament and a Texas Hold’em Poker Party. There is an annual Men’s Club Christmas Dinner and “gift” exchange for members and guests as well as the spring Low Country Boil.

The Men’s Club meets once a month during the school year except in January. Usually, meetings are the third Thursday of the month although meetings are often moved to accommodate the use of the school cafeteria, where monthly meetings are held. Meetings are advertised in the SAM and a calendar and meeting notice will be published on the Men’s Club web site.

The Saint John Fisher Men’s Club is one of the core cultural aspects of Saint John Fisher School. Member’s meet monthly whether there is a direct purpose or not. The Men’s Club offers the opportunity for Men to discuss the school and issues related to the school in a casual environment. This kind of environment facilitates a key level of communication to the school and the various boards working on school direction.

The Men’s Club is a low-key way to participate. Meetings and events can be credited to the share hours each family is required to fulfill. .
